When I last posted, we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic. Now we indisputably are, and things have changed tremendously. I hope everyone is staying safe, staying solvent, and doing as well as can be expected in this difficult time. I’m grateful for my small pool of clients and will continue to do business, but I realize that most folks have more on their minds than paying for editing.

That being said, I’ve added a great item to my Resources page: the abundantly bearded David Gaughran, who is always full of useful, topical info and guidance on all things indie, came up with a new, updated list of the Best Promo Sites in 2020. Resources change constantly—longtime review site Red City Review has just announced it is closing down, by the way—so it is good to have David’s trimmed-down list going forward rather than the much older link I had posted. Your mileage may vary. For example, I have never had much luck with Freebooksy and Robin Reads, but the BookBub gods have smiled upon me, so far.
